It’s official! Promo goods have better R.O.I.

According to a study by the PPAI, researchers revealed that promotional products consistently had a higher recall rate than TV, printed literature and on-line advertising.

Consumers made a purchase after receiving a promotional gift more often than after viewing a printed ad, TV commercial or online.  Nearly 15 % reported contact following receipt of a gift, nearly three times the response rate of other media which generates responses of 3-5%.

In a survey of 1000 consumers the report confirmed 94% could recall receiving a promotional gift and 89% could remember who the gifts had come from.  This report confirms how understated this form of ‘subtle’ Advertising really is.  Not only does it convey great ‘brand awareness’ in terms of name recognition, but it also conspires a ‘call to action’ second to none.
