BH1 Supports ‘200 Mile Challenge’

This time last year a friend of BH1, Christine Brewer, fit and healthy at the age of just over 50 was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Less than three weeks later she passed away leaving family and friends stunned. As a thank you to ‘Oakhaven’, the Hospice who cared for her towards the end and ‘Cancer Research’, her son Lloyd has ambitiously embarked on a fundraising challenge, which is exactly that.
Lloyd has devised a plan to cycle 200 miles in two days, Lymington to London and back in remembrance of the route his mother used to take. Taking place on 21st June (the longest day of the year… which might come in handy) Steve Burge from BH1 will be participating in the event and has pledged his allegiance to help Lloyd promote the event, supplying cycling shirts for the Peloton of 15 riders… So if you see Steve, give him a toot, but not too loud, he’s a bit wobbly without his stabilisers.
Make no mistake, this is going to be a really tough challenge and is in unchartered territory as no-one to our knowledge has done this ride before. As some one over simplified it, basically it’s like doing two stages of the ‘Tour de France’ back to back!
