BH1 Donate to Africa

Just before Christmas, one of BH1’s suppliers organised a shipment of unwanted promotional merchandise that took the waste of our society to a small African village school in Liberia.  So well were they received that BH1 have pledged to donate any significant wasted promotional products to this initiative.  The extract taken from the volunteers comments below, slap you with a reality check of how lucky we are…

“At long last we have received some photos of the items that you sent in the container.  You can see how well these were received from the smiles on the kids faces - we are so grateful to you and all your colleagues/business partners.  When I was there in January I went to a school and was soon surrounded by hundreds of kids.  I had a bottle of water in my hand - just a normal plastic bottle that we chuck in the bin here.  You could not begin to imagine how desperate the kids were to have my empty bottle and in the end I had to just give it to a teacher so he could decide who would be the lucky recipient of my cast-offs.  To be able to send them proper sports bottles as well as all the pens, rulers and umbrellas is just such a privilege. It is so hard to reconcile what we have in our world and what we abuse and waste with what Liberians have to contend with. Once again... huge thank you and if you ever have anything else that is going to be binned please let me know as we are planning to send another container in the next couple of months”
